Infleqtion agrees to go public through a $1.8 billion SPAC merger
Sep 8, 2025
Neutral-atom quantum company Infleqtion signed a deal to merge with Churchill Capital Corp X, a listed shell company (SPAC) created to buy a private firm. The deal valued Infleqtion at $1.8 billion before new money and was expected to raise over $540 million, with shares to trade as INFQ.
Why it matters
A stock listing gives Infleqtion access to public-market money for the long and costly road to useful neutral-atom quantum computers, part of a 2025 rush of quantum firms toward the markets.
