IBM unveils Osprey, a 433-qubit quantum processor
Nov 9, 2022
At its Quantum Summit, IBM announces Osprey, a processor with 433 qubits, more than three times the 127 qubits of its 2021 Eagle chip, and outlines the next-generation IBM Quantum System Two.
Why it matters
Osprey matched the 433-qubit chip that IBM's 2020 roadmap promised for 2022, one step before the 1,121-qubit Condor planned for 2023.
